Supersparks is a tool that allows nocoders to add user generated content (UGC) to Webflow sites, such as comments, reviews, and forum posts. What sets our solution apart is that users can custom-design their UGC sections in the Webflow Designer.
Plus, our app integrates with Webflow’s memberships feature & Memberstack, so when a logged in member posts a comment / review, profile data (eg. name, profile image, etc) gets displayed with their content. So, users can create their own custom-designed community (like a forum, or a mini Goodreads or Letterboxd or Product Hunt) using our tool plus Webflow.
Due to a limitation of Webflow’s memberships api, we are using an open source library from Sygnal to get logged in user data, which is key for displaying this member data on comments & reviews.
Nocode tools have been key to the evolution of the Supersparks product. For example, we’ve been leveraging Bubble’s user-friendly interface builder and convenient workflows to rapidly experiment on ideas & solve certain user problems, without disrupting our extremely full development roadmap.
Our marketing website is built with Webflow. Before launching we built landing pages with waitlist forms in Webflow to help validate and measure interest for our app ideas. After people would join the waitlist, we ran an automation using Zapier to: a) create a contact in Brevo (our CRM) b) send out a personalized email through Brevo with a link to an Airtable survey form and a Calendly link for in person interviews.
Speaking of Brevo, we are also using their tool for automated transactional emails triggered by different events within our app. Brevo's generous free plan make them a great option for any bootstrapped business. We are also using Brevo's Conversations to connect live chats with actual users in our CRM, which has greatly increased the number & quality of customer interactions.
For project management & asynchronous collaboration, we are using Notion.
Then, for analytics we are using a combination of Google Analytics, Heap, and Hotjar.
And of course we use Supersparks as a comment section on all of our app & blog pages, where we can respond to feedback and questions about our product & articles. We are in the process of using Supersparks building and growing an online community within the Webflow niche using our tool.
The inspiration for Supersparks came from the pain I felt while trying to add reviews to a programmatic SEO side project of mine (https://www.breweriesnearby.com/). A few months ago, I added Supersparks this project, which has not only provided the fulfilling experience of building a product that solves my own problem, but also improved the site's SEO & community engagement.
